I have three photos of myself and rest are sort of inspiration pictures. I hate how I'm only 21 but I look like I have marbles stuffed in my cheeks and lines around my mouth and neck fat. I make myself sore by trying to walk around with my chin jutting out all day because I'm so conscious of how it looks. I don't want chin implants because of risks down the road but will injections give me the desired results?

"A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease.

Yes.  If you are not interested in getting a chin implant, fillers can be used to achieve your desired result.  However, you may need to purchase multiple fillers and will need to maintain the projection by purchasing additional fillers in the future.  Restylane Lyft, Voluma and even Radiesse can be used to achieve the look you desire.

Thank you for the photos. Chin injections are done with different fillers. Generally I use Juvederm Voluma and Juvederm Ultra XC or Restylane Lift and Restylane, to smooth the Jawline around it Radiasse works well. The results last for about 1-2 years and repeated treatments will be needed. Best, Dr. LM.

Thanks for sharing your question and photos. I think you would be a good candidate for chin augmentation using dermal filler. I would probably start with 1-2 syringes of Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Voluma and see how you like it. If you need more, it can be added at followup appointments.

Your chin can be injected with a variety of non-permanent fillers to achieve your goals.   However, with the amount of volume that you need, it may be cost prohibitive.  Sculptra and Voluma are excellent fillers to consider in this area.  Surgery to cut the chin and move it forward is also an excellent way to avoid implants, and have an excellent long lasting result. When this surgery is performed, the chin can be mobilized and positioned to project and/or lengthen the chin as desired.
