I have a receding chin and I'm still not sure about getting an implant, so 4 months ago I got my chin injected with 2 syringes of Voluma to give it more volume but now the results are not as noticale. I'm considering going to another doctor who wants to use restylane lyft instead. However, I still have some of the voluma left in my chin, Is it okay to inject restylane lyft over Voluma in the exact same spot? And is restylane lyft thicker than voluma?

Answer: Restylane Lyft Voluma and Restylane Lyft are similar hyaluronic acid fillers so adding Lyft to Voluma will not be a problem.

Answer: Yes, Restylane Lyft and Voluma can be injected in the same exact place! Hello there,Thank you for your question. It's 100% okay to intermix the 2 products as they are both HA fillers. Through experience, both products last and lift equally. Each company will find reasons to show that one is better than the other but it's kind of like deciding between a BMV or Mercedes- both are great cars, but some people prefer one over the other. You will still get a great result using either product. If you love the look, I would recommend looking into getting Bellafill in the chin. It's a product that currently has a 5 year indication (though it's known to last longer) and is injected just like HA fillers are. Just make sure you have a board-certified physician who is experienced in using the product do your injections. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
