Thank you for your question. It is possible to have swelling this far out from your tummy tuck and lipo and it normally does affect the vaginal opening and inner labia as these tissues are thinner and more susceptible to significant swelling. Hang in there as this should improve over the next 7-10 days.
Hello,Thank you for your question. Genital swelling is not uncommon post op and can last many months as this is a dependant area. Bruising will tend to shift downward with gravity and settle into lower places, however bruising should be resolved by roughly 2 weeks post. I recommend that you visit with your Plastic Surgeon to ensure that you are on track and have no issues. All the best
The short answer to your question is yes, it is possible. Swelling tends to collect in the dependent areas that and is pulled there by gravity and sometimes by the compression garments that are used. Swelling is normal and so is the bruising. Massage helps control it. You should make a follow up appointment with your surgeon and follow their recommendations. Good luck!
Thank you for your question and congratulations on your recent surgery. You should expect to have swelling for three to six months following your tummy tuck surgery. It is quite common to have vaginal swelling. Use of a properly fitted compression garment will help decrease the length and severity of the post-operative swelling. As the swelling decreases, the contour of your abdomen, flanks, and hips will dramatically improve. Please follow your plastic surgeons specific advice regarding your level of physical activity. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
