What can I do to reduce the drainage in JP drains? I'm wearing compression garment already. The color is light yellow.

Besides constant compression and avoidance of strenuous exercise, there isn't anything that you can do to reduce drainage.  Leaving a drain in too long can lead to a drain site infection.  Taking it out too soon can lead to a seroma. that may need  periodic needle drainage.  At 26 days and light yellow drainage at 50ml per day, I would remove your drain. Ask your surgeon about this.

There isn't much you can do to decrease drainage.  It usually decreases with time.  There is usually a limit, however, as to how long the drains stay in even if they are continuing to drain.  Check with your surgeon.

There is nothing you can do specifically to decrease JP output. In my practice if the JP is still putting out a significant amount of fluid then I may just remove the drain and apply constant compression. DO NOT REMOVE REMOVE THE DRAIN UNLESS YOU SURGEON  REMOVES IT HIM OR HERSELF.Best Wishes,Dr Ravi Somayazula
