Is it ok to have derma rolling with mild rosacea?

Im booked in to have dermarolling with a nurse who is very experienced to treat laser scars. I just need to know that this treatment wont make the rosacea worse. It is mild. ...broken capillaries under the skin i do blush very easily

Telangiectasia and rosacea can become sensitized to the dermaroller treatment as the process will cause local damage to the top layers of skin. You may want to try pulsed dye laser before and after the microneedle treatments. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Any trauma to the skin can cause aggravation of rosacea, and laser may needed to counter this. If you choose to go with derma rolling, then have an experienced doctor assess you.

Any trauma to the skin, including fractional lasers, or even dermarolling can flare up rosacea. I frequently treat acne scarring patients with fractional lasers, only to flare up the rosacea, as blood vessels can increase after laser. The solution is to decrease inflammation ( with antibiotics such as tetracyclines), then treat the redness with a laser such as V Beam. RegardsDr Davin LimLaser Dermatologist

In my office we frequently do medical micro-needling for our rosacea patients but it important that it is done using human growth factor serums at the time of the treatment. It is also important to use growth factor serums that are anti-inflammatory. I have even used these growth factor serums alone as a home treatment for stubborn cases of rosacea.
