Dermarolling over fat grafts?

I have had two coleman fat grafting procedures. The last one was 9 months ago. Would it be safe to start dermarolling or would I risk damage? I would be grateful for any advice.

Hello there.  In my experience, it should be safe to perform darmarolling after any fat transfer procedure.  The depth of penetration in mircroneedling varies from .2-3.0 mm.  This allows the dermaroller to penetrate the skin down to the level of the epidermis and dermis.  The dermis should remain intact since the transferred fat should have been placed at a much deeper level.

Demarolling only goes down 1-2 mm for home kits, fat lies at least 3-4 time that depth. So there will be no problem from the rolling itself. Obviously there are secondary risks of home rolling such as infection. All the bestDr Davin Lim Laser Dermatologist
