I'll be 3 months post TT and diastasis repair on Aug 3rd. I'm worried that I don't have a smooth contour. It looks lumpy, rippled. I've texted pictures to my doctor. He said because I was so small my smooth muscles are showing through but this will correct itself in 6-9 months not to worry.
Answer: My doctor said not to worry about the lumpy/ripple post tummy tuck, should I be concerned? Thank you for your question and photos. A preop photo would've been helpful. Based on these photos, it is not that your muscles are showing, it is excess irregular fat in the upper abdomen. Not sure if you had a "mini" TT or a full, but this will not correct itself. If your doctor believes that, then it's best to seek a second opinion. I would wait another 3 months, before further surgery is contemplated. Good luck with your healing.

Answer: My doctor said not to worry about the lumpy/ripple post tummy tuck, should I be concerned? (Photos) Thank you for sharing your question and I can see your arms of concern. Unfortunately it appears that something other than a traditional tummy tuck was done and I would recommend discussing with your surgeon, or seeking second opinions from those able to review your operative note. Hope this helps.

Answer: My doctor said not to worry about the lumpy/ripple post tummy tuck, should I be concerned? It's difficult to say from the photos what exactly was done. I encourage you to meet with your surgeon for an examination and to discuss your concerns. You still have several months before you will see your final result.

Answer: My doctor said not to worry about the lumpy/ripple post tummy tuck, should I be concerned? (Photos) You are early in the healing process. Swelling after TT can produce lumps and may be normal. Swelling and healing as well as scar maturation can persist for 6 months and sometimes up to 1 year. Healthy people at their ideal weight should have the best overall recovery, but some of this will depend upon the surgical technique and adherence to postoperative protocols. If lumps do not improve, consider a TT revision after a year.

Answer: Tummy tuck results Dear Cheerful2364, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.
