Mole before and after. Any suggestions? (photos)

Question

This how my mole looks after it was shaved. I'm not happy for the fact that is a little raised. I've been taking care of it very well, she asked I use silicone scar sheets. It has been raised since it was shaved off. I am not sure if she did a good job. It has been about a month I will consult this with her when I see her. She said surgery would leave a bad scarring and shaving it off would be my best choice. Any comments?

I would recommend consulting a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon in your area.  Shave removal may be your best option, however, laser treatment is another route.  As the spot is not small it would require a fairly large excision, therefore excision would not be my first recommendation either.  Best,Dr. Wilkes

I would get a second opinion from a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.  I have had a number of experiences with my patients where the first shave just doesn't do the job and make the lesion flat enough.  The usual fix is to do another shave removal.
