Can you advise on raised alar cartilage? 1 side of nose bigger than other (Photos)

Based on your photos, We can see that there is a bulge on one side of your tip and not the other. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered for adding volume to your right tip for a more symmetrical tip appearance. From the photographs presented, you appear to have a convex lower lateral cartilage on your right side, and a concave lower lateral cartilage on your left side. You also have a collapsed upper lateral cartilage on your right side as well. All of this can be improved with a closed rhinoplasty approach. In some cases a crooked nasal septum deviated to one side can displace the alar cartilages on that side and create the appearance that you have.

However I have seen patients that have an anomalous Alar cartilage which is simply congenitally displaced laterally on that side.

If you look at your nose from a "worms I" view you should be able to see the septal cartilage protruding into the nostril on the same side that you see the elevated Alar cartilage. If this is the case then a septoplasty may improve the appearance. If however your nasal septum is straight than a tip rhinoplasty to modify the the cartilage will be required.

The final option could be that your opposite side Alar cartilage is deficient or retracted. I have seen patients with this deformity and corrected it by grafting cartilage on top of the depressed Alar cartilage.
