Hello and thank you for the question. There are a lot of factors involved when we are determining whether a someone is a candidate for a procedure. Being at your ideal/goal weight is very important. I would encourage you to go to a consultation with a plastic surgeon in order to discuss everything in great detail. I wish you the best of luck. Vasileios Vasilakis, MD. Ideal candidates for liposuction 360/BBL are at or near their ideal weight (BMI approaching 30) and have good skin elasticity. Liposuction will remove the excess fat on your sides, abdomen, bra rolls, thighs, flanks, back, and arms. The fat harvested can be transferred to the buttocks to ensure optimal fat viability and projection. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced with liposuction to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and facial integrity has remained the same. Consult via email or Skype with a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert in lipo and BBLs.
Dear Miss.Helton1,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Unfortunately, without pictures, it is very difficult to give you a proper answer. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
Most PS have a BMI cut off for safety. For a BBL mine is 35. For other doctors it may be a 32. This is because your risk of complications such as infection greatly increases when your BMI is greater than 32. Also the aesthetic results may be compromised since there are max amounts we are "allowed" to take off of a patient (this varies state to state). Here in TX it is 5L of lipoaspirate. You should find a board certified PS in your area and have a formal consultation.
