BBL and venous reflux. Is it safe for me to have a natural BBL?

Hi I suffer from mild varicose veins and pelvic congestion which is basically varicose veins in the vagina area. I am having treatment to get rid of the varicose veins in my legs. Do you think it is then safe for me to have a natural bbl? I know this is a risky surgery but I just wondered if I am at more risk and if my recovery will also be ok? Thanks.

Dear doll11,
every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. You should be healthy prior to any elective procedure so you might need to get a clearance from your doctor. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Any surgery is risky; having mild varicose veins and pelvic congestion which is being treated should not cause deter you from having a BBL. It is important that you exercise regularly, not smoke, and maintain a healthy weight in preparation for a BBL. Your age and current health will play a part in determining if you are a candidate for lipo and BBL.

Having varicose veins may potentially put you at increased risk for vascular injuries. Many patients have moderate varicosities and do not have problems with these procedures so most likely you should do fine. i’m not aware of any study correlating increased risk of the BBL with those who have varicose vein‘s.
