Dear Cool584418,every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. You should be healthy prior to any elective procedure. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Why did your doctor order the EKG labs echo and stress test? Abnormal test results may mean that your heart isn’t pumping blood effectively because there’s a blockage in your blood vessels. Another reason could be that a heart attack damaged your heart. Everything is balancing risks and complications with result. Your board certified plastic surgeon will want to review your medical history and tests to determine if you are a BBL candidate.
Your PS will look through your results and decide whether it is safe for you to have a BBL or not. Just because you are a "good" healthy candidate for a BBL, does no guarantee you will not have a complication associated with your surgery. You could still develop a post-op infection, seroma, DVT/PE, fat necrosis, PIH etc. It is best to find a board certified PS and discuss all of this in detail so you are well educated going in to surgery.
Having a normal EKG and stress echo simply means that they were not able to find any heart abnormalities on those tests. That has little to do with postoperative complications or issues from cosmetic surgery which is usually not cardiac related. If you’ve chosen a surgeon then I suggest discussing it with him or her your concerns. If you’ve not chosen a surgeon yet then have a few in person consultations at which time you can discuss your concerns. Those who are highly risk-averse should consider not having cosmetic surgery. My best guess is that your fear is all emotional and has a little relative reasoning to it.For example many people have no concerns about driving or riding in cars on a regular basis which is considered a fairly high-risk dangerous thing to do.For those who have severe anxiety it may be worthwhile talking to a therapist or psychiatrist as well.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
If you are healthy and lab tests are normal pending a physical exam of your buttocks and potential donor sites you should be able to undergo a BBL. You should have the surgeon by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in an accredited surgical facility. Good luck.

If you prefer staging the procedures, I recommend the liposuction and BBL first, followed by the TT three to six months later so that the result will be as tight as possible. Consult via email or Skype with a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert in both procedures.
Dear Gregarious96068, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, you will need to get a clearance from your cardiologist prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough...

You will need to ask the board certified plastic surgeon who will be performing your procedures. In my practice, no specific vitamins are recommended. If your lab work indicates that your hemoglobin levels are low, you may need to take iron. I recommend that my patients stop taking Vitamin E the...
Breast reduction surgery is one of the most patient pleasing plastic surgery procedures. Breast reduction surgery will also help to reshape your breast. Very large breasts have the natural tendency to sag or hang low, so breast reduction surgery will lift them up and help them look perkier under...
