Does my incision from my benelli lift/implant placement look OK? (Photo)

Question

I am almost two weeks post op from a benelli lift on my left side with implants. My surgeon used dermabond for the incision and I noticed about two days ago that as the dermabond wore away the skin and the nipple are no longer sitting flush. I called and they told me to leave it. I don't necessarily want to say it's a dehiscence because it's not wide open, I'm just unsure if it will heal without intervention of some sort. The Third picture gives the best view of my issue. There is a little separation, which should heal uneventfully.Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

There is a bit of separation, but I don't think it's any cause for concern. However, keep an eye on things and make sure to let your surgeon know your concerns. Best, Dr. Nazarian

I recommend you to visit your surgeon for a follow up appt, maybe you need to be checked and see if your incision is not oppening.. Do not move your arms too much or higher, also do not drive and pull or push anything.

There is some separation that will likely heal on its own.  Best to ask your surgeon about post-operative care.

Kept clean, using a bit of topical antibiotic ointment regularly and protecting from irritation it should do well. If there is any question, or it worsens, see your surgeon.

Hi There,Yes this suture line healing looks within normal limits .Having said this it could have looked better if the skin to skin was opposed better .When a larger circle is stitched to a smaller circle some uneven surfacing and wrinkles are a possibility. It does not require any intervention and slowly will heal in next 2 weeks time.I normally advise my patients to use some kind of antibiotic skin cream ( like Fucidine or Bactioban ) topically once or twice a day just to make sure the healing continues unabated.
