Will open wound, inverted T heal if spitting stitches are present? (Photo)

I don't think you need to be worried, but if the stitches have come out already, I do think you should get in to see your surgeon to have them removed. That will best thing you can do to promote healing. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Thank you for your question and photos.  At three weeks post-op, this kind of wound healing issue is not uncommon.  You should discuss the exposed stitches with your surgeon.  Continue to follow his or her advice moving forward as it appears that you are already looking better than you did at the end of October.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to determine
how your results are going to be, per now, they look very nice and beautiful,
you can have one bigger than the other, it is normal and that can happen for
the first 3 months until your implants have settle in. I recommend you to wait
and keep using your post surgical bra, that will help you with the shape and
support. That can get worse if you don't take care of it well, do not worry it will close, put antibiotic cream and it will be fine,Hugs!

Thank you for your question and photos, I am sorry to hear about your complication.  Your wound appears to be clean and progressing well.  Unfortunately, areas of tightness and scars that meet at right angles are more prone to slow healing than a regular straight incision.  This happens at the "T" junction from time to time.  The stitches will likely dissolve or fall out on their own.  Your surgeon may elect to pull them out at a postop visit.  Generally, these minor complications will heal with the proper local wound care.  Best to follow your surgeons instructions and see your surgeon periodically.  Best wishes. 

Your problem is fairly common, and ideally any exposed stitches in the open wound should be removed to facilitate healing. Generally, once the wound is open, they do not serve any meaningful purpose anyway.It would be a good idea to book an appointment to see your surgeon in person.

Having a foreign body like a stitch sticking out of your wound will prevent it from healing.  However, you may need that stitch to keep things together and help reduce tension across the scar for a little more time until it gets clipped and removed.  Even if it's an absorbable stitch, if it's not under the skin and your body's enzymes can help digest it, it will never go away (or at least take a much longer time than planned).
