Will open wound, inverted T heal if spitting stitches are present? (Photo)

I'm 3 weeks post BL w/ Augment. 8 days ago I developed an open sore, with a yellow/green discharge. Tender, no fever or foul smell. I sent pics to my PS and advised cleaning the area 2x a day with mild soap, Neosporin and gauze. I've been doing so and a few days later when washing I felt two sharp clear stitches at the base of the T & the top of the vertical. Will this keep the area from healing? Non stick gauze Still sticks to the area, making it raw again when I change it. Should Be concerned?
