I'm a 30 yo female.Diabetic since March 2012 using the insulin pump and metformin pills to treat it.1 csection in 2006 the other in 2013 which left me with the hanging fat in bottom of abdominal area(kangaroo sack is what us girls call it).Am I able to get any type of weight loss surgery?

Answer: Can a female diabetic get Smart Lipo? Thank you for your question. Diabetes is not a contraindication for smart lipo. We have to be more careful of planning and monitoring. Pictures will help in your case to determine if you are a right candidate or not. Smart lipo is not a weight loss surgery, it is for contouring. If you believe you need weight loss surgery you should see your physician for evaluation. Again diabetes is not contraindicated for weight loss surgery too. Good luck.
