I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 70 and thought I had no choice but to get a mastectomy and be completely flat chested. I came to Dr. Mytien Goldberg and she informed me that I was a great candidate for an Implant based reconstruction or an autologous tissue based breast reconstruction. I chose to get a Implant based reconstruction and the best part was that it was all done in one surgery! I went directly to implant and did not need any expanders. Of course, there is some pain but it's tolerable. And this whole journey has been worth it for the results. I wish I came to see Dr. Goldberg sooner and didn't wait 4 months to muster up the courage. She put me at ease and relaxed any fears i had about having the surgery and an implant. She has a phenomenal staff who care for every patient and is always there to answer questions I have regardless of the day and time. I'm currently still in my healing process and everything is looking great! I have complete confidence in Dr. Goldberg and would highly recommend her to others, young or old, breast cancer or not.
My experience with Dr. Goldberg and her staff was absolutely unmatched. They always went above and beyond to answer any questions/concerns I had. This was my 3rd breast augmentation due to the errors and complications of other surgeons. I had a pretty severe capsular contracture and double bubble. I was considering removing my implants for good until I had my consultation with Dr. Goldberg. She gave me the breasts that I had be dreaming about! I am 7 months post op and beyond happy with my results and to thankful to her and her entire team.
Dr. Mytien Goldberg performed my breast reduction and tummy tuck. I was nervous to have these procedures, but she assured me and showed me results from previous patient procedures. My breasts were a EE and were reduced to a C. I wanted a full C and when I awoke, I was very impressed with the results. She carefully listened to my requests and my breasts are exactly the size I wanted. I wanted the tummy tuck to remove excess skin from childbirth and a hysterectomy while getting firmness in my stomach. I couldn't be more happy with the results! During the process, she recommended after care, which gave me the support I needed during recovery. I used the scar cream as directed and am seeing great results. My shoulders no longer hurt due to heavy breasts and I can fit into clothes I could never wear before. I would completely trust Dr. Goldberg with any surgery and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone in need of surgical care. Thank you Dr. Goldberg!
I have had the good fortune to have had Dr. Mytien Goldberg as my plastic surgeon for my entire breast cancer journey. I love her for her compassion, expertise, artistry, her warm caring manner that puts me at ease. I've had several reconstruction surgeries, due to effects of radiation, and this last surgery was the finishing touch. I'm amazed and so happy how great it looks, it's an almost perfect match now, my reconstructed breast to my natural ,unaffected breast. The latest surgery was a revision to the latissimus dorsai flap scar, and fat transfer to soften the contours of the implant. It looks amazing! I'm so happy, this is the icing on the cake! Can't wait to go to the beach now! Thank you Dr. Goldberg for helping me get through a tough couple of years. I recommend Dr. Goldberg without any reservations. 10 stars!
I'm continuing my facial rejuvenation with artistic use of filler, sculptra, and Dr. Goldberg's special aesthetic. This is a final touch to my treating myself after my long journey of breast cancer treatments. A slight hollowness under my cheekbones was addressed using Scultptra filler. Right away I knew it was just the right thing! I know it takes some months for the collagen to develop to give the long lasting results, but i can see the difference already, 2 weeks after. Looking similar now to picture of myself 10-15 years ago. So happy Dr. Goldberg has an office in Torrance, near where I live! Beach girls need a good plastic surgeon too, not just Beverly Hills!
Dr. Mytien Goldberg is a skilled, board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. I underwent bilateral breast reduction in June 2017, and my results are wonderful. I only wish I had done this a few years ago. I went from 34 E to 32/34 C. Dr Goldberg is very thorough in her pre-op exam and interview. The operating room staff are experienced and professional. The office is very oriented to patient satisfaction. World class surgeon.
If you are looking for results you will be extremely happy with, Dr. Mytien Goldberg is the surgeon for you. I was introduced to Dr. Goldberg for reconstruction with breast cancer surgery and I couldn't be happier with results that are greater than my expectations. She is a very compassionate, patient, caring woman and eased my fears prior to surgery. Dr. Goldberg continued after the surgery with multiple followup visits making sure her work was perfect. She has a great sense of humor too. I loved how I was able to contact her at any time through her cell phone number or email address and I always received a prompt response. Her office manager Caroline was fabulous, taking my calls and texts at all hours and her assistant Leandra was a great comfort. I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg for the great results you would want from any kind of surgery.
My experience with Dr. Goldberg was, and still is one of the best I've had with any doctor. She is warm , compassionate, friendly, and personable. As a breast cancer survivor, I've seen many doctors, and she is the best. After an initial breast reconstruction had to be redone due to radiation effects, she and her team performed a latissimus dorsi flap reconstruction. The results, after only 2 weeks so far are a tremendous improvement. It's amazing to me what she was able to do to , with very little pain, to achieve the symmetry I didn't think I could have after a mastectomy. I'm so happy already, and I know it will only improve with time. I can recommend Dr. Goldberg without hesitation. She is the best, and nicest!
I had several procedures by different Plastic Surgeons all men! I had disappointing results from some of those procedures and bad scars. Dr. Goldberg was the first woman I used. I am so happy with my results. I feel as a woman she really understands what women's insecurities are. She also understands the need for visual aesthetics. She lifted my Mon-pubis(fupa) perfectly and revised a horrible tummy tuck scar. It looks great! She also fixed my lipoma on my back. She is quick to stand behind her work unlike her male counterparts who argued with me about fixing mistakes. I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg. You won't be disappointed.
I had a smart lipo procedure with Dr. Goldberg last May 2014 and it was the best decision ever. I'm a very skeptical person by nature and don't trust many physicians in the industry nonetheless a plastic surgeon. Dr. Goldberg more than exceeded my expectations. I have never felt better about myself after the procedure than I do now as she has produced the results exactly that I wanted. Dr. Goldberg is extremely intuitive and knows exactly how to make you look and feel beautiful. I have also done Botox and fillers and she is just a true perfectionist and an artist (she will never make you look like an exaggerated version of yourself). I am a 34 yr old Financial Professional and pride myself on my looks. I was always paranoid about looking unnatural, but If you are looking for someone who will not botch you and make you look absolutely amazing - and the best version of yourself - you must go to Dr. Goldberg for any cosmetic procedure. She is the BEST.
No one should be destined to book botched. You have tuberous breast deformity with significant loose skin from massive weight loss. The tuberous breast deformity is when the nipple areola is very large and the nipple to fold distance is short. That is why you never like the way the look when they first came in. After the weight loss, your skin becomes loose and then collapse over. You can have perky and fuller upper pole of the breast with a combined procedure breast augmentation and lift. Don't be discourage, the fuller and perkier breasts are within reach. Good luck in your journey
As a prospective breast augmentation, you should be aware of several unique problems with Anatomic implants. The most commonly known problem is rotation. I have seen this problem in patients done by other surgeons and to fix the problem, it requires revision surgery. Secondly, a less talk about problem that every woman should be aware of is that these shape implants are textured implants. Texture implants have a unique risks of Breast implant associated atypical large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). It is a real cancer risks that is unique to texture implants. Therefore I think for a cosmetic procedure, a patient should not have this added risks of BIA-ALCL. That being said, round smooth implants can give you a natural slope results similar to shape implants given the right profile. An important fact, a blinded study of round versus shape implants study show that even among plastic surgeons, we can only correctly tell whether a shape or round implants in 50% of the time. Looking at your picture, I think you can easily achieve a natural augmentation with a round smooth implant using either a moderate to moderate plus profile. The implants size you listed above are really small for your frame and may not achieve the results you desire. You should ask to see the implants prior to surgery and place in your bra to see if it is the size you desire.
In implant base breast reconstruction, tissue expanders often have higher projection than the actual implants. Since your tissue expanders were filled to 750cc, the actual final volume is >800cc. The tissue expander has a volume of 75cc due to its thick shell and a metal port. Therefore, to get the same projection and size, you need implants in 800cc range. I normally underfilled my tissue expanders and then place larger implants at the second stage. Good luck on your reconstruction.
It is unusual to have new pain under the reconstructed breast radiating to the shoulder two years after breast reconstruction with DIEP flap. Given that it is a chest pain radiating to the shoulder, I want to rule out other serious condition such as a heart condition. You should follow with your primary care physician and see if an EKG or other test is warranted. If everything is normal with your heart, you should followup with your PS to see if scar tissue could be the cause of your pain. It should be corrected.
Thank you for the pics. With your desire to have fuller and natural looking breast, the best option would be implants in the range of 250-300cc place subfascial plane which is a plane of tissue above the muscle but below the breast parenchyma. I think this will yield the most natural and long lasting result.
