How long before I see results of neck liposuction? I am 6 weeks post op.

The healing process in general can take up to one month for the majority of #swelling to subside, incisions to close, sutures to come out, and for bruising to completely go away.
It is not uncommon to be experiencing some #lumps following  neck and chin procedures. Some degree of firmness or lumpiness under the skin is normal after surgery and will resolve with time. Local #massage of the areas may accelerate the resolution of this problem, which normally takes 2-4 months to disappear completely.The lumps should diminish with time. If not, your doctor can provide suggestions for this concern. In-office medi-spa treatments may be an option. Your incisions will go through many changes before seeing the final result of your procedure. But, it's best to be patient in the meantime.  If during your healing, you have any concerns, it is suggested to call your board-certified surgeon or their medical staff and discuss those #concerns.

You may still have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. To improve final results, we will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after neck liposuction to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Try to be patient and give your body the time it needs for the swelling to calm down and skin to begin to retract.  It can take months to see your final result, but being compliant and doing what's recommended by your surgeon for post care is the best thing you can do to obtain the best result.  Waring your compression, getting lymphatic massage to reduce swelling, and healthy eating and exercise will be the best healing tools possible!
