Are Patient Truthfully Naked During Rhinoplasty?

I know that clothing brings germs into the operating room, so no clothing is allowed to be worn during surgery, and the patient is given a hospital gown. What's the truth though? Does the surgeon or do the nurses take off the gown and the patient is naked during rhinoplasty?

If you are looking at the base view of your nose, the skin from your upper lip to the apex of your nostrils is columellar skin. Above the apex of the nostrils is called the infratip lobule. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Thank you for your question. Leaving the cast on 3 weeks post surgery will not affect anything. I would not advise you to remove the cast yourself. Be sure to keep your post operative appointment with your surgeon for your cast removal.
