Answer: Would I benefit from a traditional or extended tummy tuck? Thanks for the question. You will benefit from a full tummy tuck with 360 degree ;liposuction. You dont seems to have excess skin on your flank or lower back. A good liposuction to love handle area and lower back should give you give results on your sides and lower back and result sin good shape. the muscle repair should address fullness in upper abdomen.

Answer: Would I benefit from a traditional or extended tummy tuck? 6 ft 210 lb female w/ umbilical hernia and diastasis recti Hi. I think a lot of that really depends on what one person considers to be an extended tummy tuck versus what another person considers a traditional tummy tuck. I certainly do not think that you need a fleur-de-lis type of tummy tuck but rather what I would consider a traditional tummy tuck customized to your specific anatomy. For my approach, that would include reasonably aggressive repair of rectus diastases and liposuction of the flanks. So some of it can get wrapped up in semantics, but I think based on your pictures you could see a lot of nice benefit from that procedure. I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience in body contouring and specifically tummy tucks to help guide you through the process. Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell

Answer: Tummy tuck recommendations Hi, an in person consultation with physical exam and complete medical/surgical history would be required for an accurate recommendation. However, based off your photos alone I would recommend a standard abdominoplasty with liposuction to the bilateral flanks and/or back. An extended abdominoplasty takes the incisions more lateral to remove any redundant skin which doesn't appear to be the case for you. If your goal is a thinner waistline in addition to improved abdominal contour then performing liposuction to the back and flanks would be beneficial.
