When doing PDL treatment, subsequent treatments are scheduled 4 weeks apart. What detrimental effects are there for waiting 8 weeks or much longer between treatments?
Answer: Timing in between pulsed dye laser treatments In my opinion, there would be no problem waiting longer than 4 weeks in between pulsed dye laser treatments. I normally have patients wait at least 6 weeks in between treatments, but that is just my preference.

Answer: Treatments can be done as soon as 1 -2 weeks apart Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. Schedule a consultation with an expert in Vbeam and you will find it to be an excellent modality for many skin types. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Time Between Pulsed Dye Laser Treatments Hello and thank you for your question. There is no hard and fast rule on how long to wait between pulsed dye laser treatments. Most doctors recommend four to six weeks between sessions, but some even go eight weeks between procedures. The most important factor to keep in mind is that your skin needs to be carefully protected from sun exposure between treatments to avoid damage to vulnerable skin. Always work with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist to ensure your treatments are both safe and as successful as possible.

Answer: Timing of PDL treatments You absolutely can wait longer than 4 weeks to have your treatments spread out. You might need fewer overall if you give it more time, as the body might continue to metabolize the small vessels and hemoglobin. We have had patients wait 6-8 weeks between traditionally, but ask your dermatologist specifically for their guidance. Best of luck!

Answer: Pulsed dye laser Thank you for your question. In my experience, I would see no issue in waiting 8 weeks between treatments. Try to prevent getting a suntan in the area being treated prior to your pulsed dye laser session as this will have an effect on your treatment.
