Is it normal for redness to get bright red after treatment before fading after a PDL treatment?

Got a PDL treatment yesterday and now the redness I was trying to get rid of is bright red. Will this fade? And how long will it take? Will it be lighter than before?

Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is fairly normal to see increased redness over an area treated with PDL.  This normally lasts for several days but could take a week or so in some cases.  It can take several weeks to see the results and normally the redness that was there before treatment should improve and be lighter.

This is difficult to answer without pictures. Blushing or redness is a physiologic response to heat, anxiety, etc. Light stim may give improvement. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp for best outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I usually find that for a couple of days people are a bit redder. It always goes away and I warn people pre-treatment.
