I am 3 weeks post co2 laser resurfacing and I'm still very red and dry. Makeup isn't able to cover it up. I'm concerned about the obvious line above my jawline. Is this demarcation? Why wouldn't the Dr laser the whole area. The other side is fine. It goes all the way to the jawline.

Answer: Laser demarcation The area is very red and obvious, but it should start to become less visible with some time. The concern is that you are developing some hyper pigmentation which will last longer. Make sure you are using a good sunscreen and avoiding sun exposure and see your treating physician who may give you a mild steroid cream to reduce some of the redness.

Answer: Co2 laser... too early to tell. Co2 is the BIG GUNS of lasers.... its only been 3 weeks, I tell all my patients, wait 3 months. If demarkation occurs, vascular V BEAM laser can sort it out. Hang tight. Every week that passes, the rudeness will subside. Dr Davin Lim . Brisbane. Australia.
