1.5mm ptosis in the right eye & increased risk of postoperative keratopathy, what should I do?

I visited an oculoplastic surgeon today who looked at my eyes, and came to the conclusion that I 1.5mm eyelid droop, but due to the fact I have no Bilateral Bells reflex, that I have an increased chance of Postoperative Exposure Keratopathy, which can cause eye pain. I've wanted to get rid of my ptosis for a long time, but is this eye pain like can't put your contacts in bad, are their alternatives?, What should I do?
