7 months ago I had a breast augmentation with 235/280 low profile plus implants. I was not expecting the difference in size but came out of surgery with them. I like them but I do see a size difference as you can see in the photo. I also don’t like that I don’t have any cleavage still. I want to upgrade them to moderate profile which my doctor suggested 310/345 moderate. Is this enough of an increase to make a difference?
Answer: Tough to say based on just one picture It's difficult to say based on just your photograph, but just upsizing your implants in that way may not improve the gap between your breasts much. You will have more size/fullness which will help you have more cleavage in bras and tops, but the implants you discuss (assuming you mean Allergan implants based on the sizes and profiles mentioned) are close to the same width as the ones you currently have. Adjusting the capsule and ensuring the muscle is released to the extent it can be safely can be helpful as well. You look like you have widely spaced pectoralis muscles, as well, so there is only so close the implants can get to each other (assuming implants are submuscular). For this reason, sometimes the addition of fat grafting is helpful to achieve the appearance of more cleavage and closer together breasts.

Answer: Breasts Going larger will give you fuller breasts. Your breast sit somewhat wide apart so you still will not have deep cleavage because of your anatomy. The base of your breasts cannot be moved.

Answer: Mini lift The difference between 235 and 280 will insignificant. Your breasts are widely separated. If your implants were placed retro-pectoral then I recommend a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, the implants can be exchanged for larger implants if desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Reliable461742, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
