Hi, Iam 36yo, and had a BA done March 2017. At that time I went from a natural 34B to a 32DD which was 325cc moderate saline implants. My breast look natural although are heavy and the top portion is not full. I am looking at doing a revision with 250cc high saline. Will this help my concerns OR should I look at silicone to acheive the high, perky look? I want to be able to wear a bra and my breast do not sag. Thanks!
Answer: Not a good idea Although you do not provide photos, making this all guess work, if you lack upper pole fullness you do not want to switch to an implant with a smaller diameter than the one you have now just because it's a high profile implant. This thought process indicates you do not understand what makes upper pole fullness, which I believe is informed by a pervasive misconception among not only patients but surgeons too about what a high profile implant does and doesn't do. Yod need to visit a few well regarded experts in revision breast surgery to give you options.

Answer: Breast implants revision Thankyou for your query. Based on your photographs, when you get a revision of your implants with smaller, high profile implants, saline or silicone, a breast lift (mastopexy) will be very helpful in achieving your desired results. I prefer silicone implants because of their feel and also because they seem to keep the upper pole fullness better than the saline implants. Please find an experienced Board certified surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Breasts You did not show, so I cannot be specific. However, you probably do need to go smaller and may need a lift. Implants will not give much lift to sagging breasts.

Answer: More information needed Breast implants do not correct sagging or create upper pole fullness. If you are having a problem with descent you will need a lift. Many women do not like lifts because of the vertical scars associated with traditional techniques. An alternative to consider is The Bellesoma Method. I would need photographs to give you a more accurate answer. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Lsf2022, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
