Can I get paralyzed from Buffalo Hump Lipo?

I really want to remove the excess fat @ the base of my neck but I’m terrified of getting paralyzed or sustaining any other spinal injury

The risk of any major spinal injury from buffalo hump liposuction is nilch!  It is the only thing that helps them and is so worth it.  Your doc has to use the PAL  power assisted canulas to break up all the fibrous tissue .

Dear _Sam_,it is highly unlikely that liposuction or excision of fat tissue will cause paralysis. All the work is done under the skin and the surgeon will not come even close to the spinal nerves. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. No, this is extremely unlikely. For best results removing a buffalo hump, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. Although I can understand your concern in that the spinal cord is located in the same general area as the lipoma, it would be exceedingly unlikely that this would occur. The spinal cord and its associated nerves are much deeper than the lipoma and are very well protected at this location. See a reputable and experienced surgeon and I think you will be fine.
