Is Ultrashape V3 safe for tattoos?

I'm scheduled to have Ultrashape v3 on my thighs and I'm wondering if it's safe for tattoos. There's essentially no information regarding this online, and my technician assures me it won't be a problem, but about 75% of my legs are covered in tattoos and I'm feeling very apprehensive this procedure could harm them. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ultrashape can be used over tattoos without any problems.  This is very specific to fat below the skins surface and has no influence on the pigment in the dermis/skin surface.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The treatment of UltraShape in an area with tattoo's is totally safe. The UltraShape does not see the surface at all unlike many other laser treatments, it is strictly looking for the fat cells that are in the dermis.

UltraShape is safe for treating areas that have tattoos.  This is because UltraShape uses non-thermal, focused, pulsed ultrasound to selectively destroy fat beneath the skin.
