Had lipo on my back to remove love handles and bra rolls. Should I still have them? (photos)

Thank you for your pictures and questions. I agree that I cannot tell much of a difference in your photos. Has your weight been stable or have you gained/lost weight between the procedures? My best guess is that you probably had a substandard (awake) procedure by a surgeon who was not board certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgery. So you had two sessions of lipo without attaining the desired results. My questions are: under local or general anesthesia? by a boardedPlastic Surgeon? Appears you need more aggressive liposuction. I use the combination of the S.A.F.E. techniques with my personalized layered liposuction. Best to seek only in person examinations with revision lipo experts. Expect fee in $6,000 cash ranges. 

You may find the fatty component of the rolls have flattened out as the fat is removed, but the skin is now sagging as it is particularly heavy on the back. No amount of liposuction will improve the hanging skin unfortunately. If you have any concerns it is always best to return to your PS for advice and reassurance.

The three rolls on your back represent skin laxity. Sometimes well done liposuction can illuminate the skin folds but you should not count on it. If you have had this treated twice then there's a good chance this is the best liposuction can deliver.  The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body. In order to give this much mobility there has to be skin laxity. When your arm is in a down position the skin on your back is in its most laxed state. Try stretching your body with your arm stretched over your head and curving your back to put the skin under tension. Now look in the mirror or better yet reach around with your other hand and push against the skin where your back bra rolls used to be and feel the thickness of your fat layer.  Most likely you will have smooth skin without the Back bra rolls and appreciate the truth thickness of your fat layer.  The best option for tightening the skin here is most likely going to be Renuviob J-plasma or thermithight. Liposuction is not a skin tightening procedure but removes fat. The back bra rolls are poorly understood by many people. Hopefully this was explained to you before the procedure but all too often it's not.  Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D. 

We have seen some good results with BODYtite to help with skin laxity. Discuss your options with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine which would best address this specific issue. Best wishes!
