I am heart broken and regret why I went for it. Skine laxivity and bags beneath my lower eyelids were not so prominent that I should go for it. Just to get a bit better look, I lossed my beautiful long eyes. Hey experts, do you think time will make some difference and I will get back original appearance of my eyes with passing time, though I clearly see my upper eyelids pulled downward and stiched. Is there any solution for this deformity?? Desperate to know your opinion.
Answer: You had issues before surgery but you were much better off. This is a very unfavorable result. It is only 2 months after surgery but the issues that bother you will persist. The challenge is that the correcting procedures are not available where you live and the fix is complicated and expensive. I also suspect that the surgery made you upper eyelid worse as well. I strongly recommend letting the eyelids heal a full 6 to 12 months before shopping for a fix. Don't expect your current surgeon to understand the problem. They are often invested in thinking that everything they touch is gold. It is improbable that the surgeon that performs blepharoplasty like this has the skills needed to aesthetically repair the eyelids.

Answer: Revision eyelid surgery Please see following website link for information. Transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty can cause lower eyelid retraction and eye rounding. Furthermore, fat loss from upper eyelids can cause sunken eyes. Improvement is possible. See following link for various eyelid revision procedures. See an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. Skype consult available.

Answer: Lower lid retraction Unfortunately, you have the typical features of lower lid retraction. From the photos it looks like too much skin was removed, causing the 'sad' lower lid shape. At 2 months, there is some chance that you will get a bit of improvement, but in my experience, it is unlikely to be significant. However, do not lose hope. There are re-do options that could help a lot. These may include mid face lifting, canthal fixation and spacer grafts such as Alloderm. Much will depend on the degree of skin that remains. If there is a reasonable amount of skin left, you may get a good result with one surgery. You absolutely must ensure that you see a surgeon with a lot of experience at blepharoplasty revisions. I see a lot of revision blepharoplasties and often the worst outcomes are where the redo has also been done incorrectly. Best of luck for your future treatment.

Answer: Round and small eyes two months after lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Solutions? Thank you for your question and for the photos. I am sorry to hear that your operation has not been as successful as I am sure both you and your surgeon expected. 2 months after surgery there is still time to improve: I would suggest daily massage to reduce the tension on the lower eyelids and taping. Please contact your surgeon, voice your concerns and I am sure that he/she will be able to help you.All the best.Andrea MarandoPlastic and Cosmetic Surgeon, Manchester, UK
