Broken crooked nose, can it be fixed without surgery? (Photo)

Hi my nose was broken and crooked before 2 months I took no notice because there was swelling but after swelling it looks more crooked and have a bump on right side. Can it fix without surgery i cant afford surgery . So i wish it can fix without surgery

It is difficult to tell exactly what is going on without a formal consult and physical exam beyond this one very limited picture, however, in general, surgery is the only way to fix a broken nose and/or nasal septum. These injuries are very common, and in a lot of cases people elect not to have them repaired. The main indications for repair (which requires surgery) would be to correct a functional issue (i.e. breathing difficulty caused by the injury), or to correct the cosmetic appearance of the nose (i.e. if it is now crooked or deformed after injury). These surgeries are often covered by insurance. So in your case, if you would like to further investigate whether surgery is indicated, or if insurance would cover it, I'd recommend going to a plastic surgeon for a formal consultation to discuss all your options and choose the right plan for you.Best,Dr. Donald GrovesPlastic Surgeon
