Could you please let me know, as my treatment begins on Tuesday for the next 4 / 5 months, of IPL on my face forearms underarms and I think my legs from the knee down, if the treatment is safe for early pregnancy

Answer: IPL During Pregnancy This should be discussed with your treating Physician. This will insure that the specific treatment, any numbing creams or attachments to the IPL platform will not hurt you or the fetus during your pregnancy. Another resource would be the Medical Director of the manufacturer for their general guidelines. Great question.

Answer: IPL and pregnancy IPL should not be done on pregnant women. Even though it is likely safe, it is not tested and therefore not recommended. Hold off on your IPL treatments until after your pregnancy. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion.
