Dr Johnston and his Staff show me nothing but knowlegable care and concern for the past few months arranging my tummy tuck to coincide with my hysterectomy. Now am back to my 19 yr old silhouette !!!
For anyone considering ThermiVa, I recommend doing it! I had the treatments done to revitalize both internal and external areas of the vagina and it's totally amazing! After completion of the series of 3 non-invasive treatments, I am happy to report I am as tight as when I was 18! ThermiVa is a technique with NO CUTTING and NO DOWN TIME which uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to rejuvenate collagen, without discomfort or downtime. As we get older, so much happens (I'm 50, by the way). We begin noticing changes in our skin, leg veins, droopiness in many areas, and of course, wonder if we are as sexually alluring as we once were. This procedure brings your "lady parts" all the way back to where you used to be. It tightens inside and outside (making the outside pretty and neat), which is nice for our spouses, but what about us? For me, the procedure also dramatically increased my sensitivity and juiciness (sorry, I couldn't think of another adjective) leading to a MUCH better, enhanced sexual experience for me! For the nitty-gritty, here goes: Each treatment lasts about 30 minutes. You relax back with your legs in stirrups and a probe is gently inserted in and around your private parts to gradually heat up the tissue. It's not painful at all, you don't feel any real heat or any discomfort -- in fact i spent most of my treatment time talking, surfing the web on my cell phone or texting. I have tried many different procedures over the years from the face to breasts and body and I can confidently say, this treatment is a no-brainer. Why? Because it actually WORKS and does everything the procedure claims to do. You start to feel the results after the first treatment (and can have sex the same night - no down time!) and it just keeps getting better. In a world of big promises and frequent disappointments, this one, ThermiVa, is a true winner.
I highly recommend Dr. Dean Johnston. He & his staff are professional, courteous & kind. The moment you walk in the door, you will fill comfortable. They take their time explaining the procedure very carefully. You will never feel that they are in a hurry. They thought of every detail to make sure that your procedure will be a success. The results: EXCELLENT
Dr Dean Johnston perform the surgery on me. I had did my research and out of four doctors Dr. Johnston was the best option for me. He also was the only one that my insurance company would approve which spoke volumes about his work ethnic. He is board certified and he educated me on the process and what was different about him and other doctors. He was very warm and he didn't rush me and I knew after meeting with him on the consults he would be the one. His office staff is very efficient and very educated about the process with the insurance approval process. Melissa is amazing and so sweet and warm. The hostpital Staff even song dr. Johnston praises and this whole process has been amazing and I'm so grateful that everything worked out perfectly. Do yourself justice and call Dr.Dean Johnston for any plastic surgery needs.
One of the nicest people I have ever met. The staff is wonderful and office is remarkably clean and gorgeous. Dr. Johnston honestly changed my life, my surgery went great and I couldn't be happier with my results. The Dr. is sincere, direct, and honest. He was very direct and explained everything to me about my surgery and encouraged me to ask any questions whenever. The hospital is a little far I thought until I got there and understood why he uses it. It's beautiful! Clean and brand new looking and the people are so nice there and took care of me and my family waiting on me. There were several people I met before surgery each explained who they are and what they do and were some of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I felt so comfortable and confident about my surgery knowing the Dr and staff had everything in control. After my surgery I felt very ill one day and called the office and asked a few simple questions hoping for some advice on what I should do about my nausea and after about 30seconds on the phone I could hear Dr Johnston ask for the phone, he spent over 10min on the phone explaining exactly what I was going through and how to treat it and why it was happening. That's a gesture simply unheard of today, I couldn't believe it. I spent a lot of time looking for the right Dr and I'm here to tell you he is the one. These people make you feel like family and called me every day to make sure I was doing well and healing properly. I'm so glad i chose Dr Johnston and my only complaint is that he isn't my general practitioner Dr I can go to for everything lol. -Cooper 20
I had some hesitation with this decision as my friends and family kept telling me I looked great. I decided to move forward with it as I wasn't doing it for them, so much as for myself. I had a lower face lift or neck lift done and I am extremely happy with the results. As with any surgery there is a degree of discomfort, but the healing occurs quickly and I'm just about back to normal.
My husband suggested that I consider abdominoplasty to fix the ravages of a “t” cut C-section and carrying a big baby (10 pounds). I didn’t want to do this because I was scared, since it is major surgery and also because of the high cost to our family. My husband and I decided that it is worth the cost to prevent further health problems and to better my self-esteem. I started interviewing several surgeons, giving a deposit to one of them. A neighbor mentioned Dr. Johnston earlier on, but I was tired of giving up my time and meeting and discussing and getting naked for an assessment. Something told me to meet him, so I called and got a very quick and convenient appointment. Dr. Johnston’s thorough explanations, his concern for his patients, his innovative procedures to help his patients heal better and reduce pain, his staff, his friendliness and his honesty made me question whether I should lose my deposit with the other surgeon or not. His quote was higher than the other surgeon, but I was so much more comfortable and trusted Dr. Johnston, that I forfeited my deposit. And it was worth it! Dr. Johnston never let me down! I felt as if the office was open just for me. He and his staff made me feel special and taken care of all the time. Previous to the surgery, they gave me a lot of written information, prescriptions in advance, and answered all my questions. After the surgery, Dr. Johnston visited me and made sure that he answered all my questions. I’ve seen him very frequently at his office for follow-up appointments and has answered every single concern I’ve had. I feel that he is a person that I trust and I can call a friend.
TOTALLY Satisfied With Doctor, Staff, and Procedure - Lake Mary, FL
I'm a 42 y/o mother of 3 who has been wanting a TT for quite some time. After the decision to undergo a hysterectomy last month, I discussed the desire to also have a TT since I was going under the knife. My GYN recommended a PS and I researched a few on my own. I decided on Dr. Johnston due to his credentials, experience, references, friendliness, honesty, mannerism, and office staff. Decision was made 6/18 and surgery was scheduled and balance paid 6/26. Due to a prior engagement my pre-op testing was the day prior to surgery (today). I found out this evening that my potassium level is too low and the anesthesiologist cancelled the surgery. My GYN and PS called me, along with the hospital nurse. They were both very apologetic. The PS stated he will work after hours if needed by the GYN when my labs are okay to proceed. My surgery will be a scheduling priority. Now I have to increase these levels in order to reschedule. I'm so disappointed...so ready to be rid of Saggy Sue. I guess the wait game starts all over (sigh). Guess I'll continue taking Arnica and Bromelain and hope for the best. Updated on 13 Jul 2012: Well, I was told today that the earliest available date to have my surgery is 7/31/12. No matter how disappointed I am, I can't change what has happened. So, I'll return to work on Monday and work through 7/30/12. Wish me luck fellow TT's. Hopefully, nothing will go wrong and the surgery will take place on the 31st. Updated on 23 Jul 2012: I'm so nervous about my lab work tomorrow. I hope my potassium levels are still up. Don't think I could stand another set back. Fingers crossed for the best!!!! :-)
Healing was a few days, not weeks. It was really about painless - it was itchy sometimes, but I didn't need anything for pain. The care I got from Dr. Johnston, Kathy, Vicky, Danielle and Melissa was excellent - the entire experience was easy - stress free and simple to do and the results are excellent. I am thrilled I did this and that I did it with Dr. Johnston.
Probably not, but it is usually a good idea to talk with your surgeon prior to exercise after any procedure. There are technical issues of what exactly is done at the time of the procedure which will dictate whether a particular activity is safe. Pain is the bodies way of telling you that you have overdone the activity. Best to speak with your Surgeon and ask what special precautions you should employ. My rule of thumb is to start moving about early in small increments, gradually increasing the range of motion over the days and weeks that follow with full return to activities in 4-6 weeks with some rare exceptions.
Thank you for your question. It is not unusual for the scar to be visible at 8 weeks as it is still healing. Over the next few months it will fade and usually become less noticable. Since it is away from the earlobe crease I understand your wanting to have this revised. I would discuss this with your Surgeon and explain your concerns. It would be reasonable to revise this, I would wait 3-6 months after the facelift to allow most of the post-op changes to occur assuring the best timing for revision and a better result. Normally this would be a very minor procedure that could be performed in the office under local anesthesia. Hope this helps. For those who would also be reading this answer prior to surgery it is important to understand that revisions are sometimes necessary. Ask your Surgeon his policies regarding revisions in advance so when issues occur you have an understanding how these will be handled.
I like snug garments over the areas I perform ThermiTight for several days after the procedure. After 3-4 days they wear them optimally just at night. The purpose is to reduce swelling, bruising and discomfort. I believe that the results are better when you follow these guidelines and you will see the results sooner. After any swelling, bruising or soreness is gone you no longer need to wear the garments.
ThermiTight is a procedure which tightens skin and can improve contours and irregularities in the skin. CoolSculpting is more appropriate for removal of small amounts of unwanted fat without surgery. Achieving optimal results in a specific case is most appropriate for the skilled person to make that judgement in person where he can examine you and communicate most effectively.
Thermitight requires some local anesthesia so there will be a small amount of swelling immediately after & very little bruising. The wearing of garments is optional but I find that patients feel more comfortable wearing them for a week or so afterwards. I give the go ahead to full activities after 4-5 days. Ask your treating Physician about steps to take specific to your situation to reduce bruising and swelling to a minimum.
