Raise the Nose Tip to be Taller. What kind of surgery I will need?

I would need to see a set of photographs as described on my website to give you a proper answer. There are several techniques to increase tip projection with advancement, struts, tip grafts, etc. See an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon for the best results who does noses that you like.

This is actually a very common request (particularly with ethnic patients) and can be performed with a variety of techniques.  However, instead of using implants, I always recommend that cartilage or tissue from your own body is used to build up areas of the nose to minimize the risks of extrusion, migration, rejection, infection, etc.  The best recommendation is to have an in person consultation with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek. 3-dimensional computer imaging can help you visualize what you may look like afterwards and serve as an important communication tool with your surgeon to make sure you are on the same aesthetic page.

While a filler can augment the nasal dorsum, raising the nasal tip will require surgery with either suture technique or support with a cartilage strut (collumellar strut).  I perform an "open"  rhinoplast.  Be sure to seek out multiple consultations with true rhinoplasty experts.All the Best,Dr. Brian Reagan

 A full set of facial photographs are required before making any determination about what can be accomplished with a rhinoplasty procedure. 5 mm is a lot of change in the nose.

Tip rhinoplasty is what you need. You will have to make a consultation to determine exactly what I would recommend for correcting your tip shape, proportions, and dimensions.

Different suture techniques may be used, grafting, and/or columellar strut. Hi, raising the nasal tip by 5 mm's insn't considered a small change (1-2 mm's).  Ear cartilage grafts are my primary method of increasing the tip height during Rhinoplasty.  Hope tis helps.  

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for but tip projection and/or rotation can be increased with a tip-plasty or full rhinoplasty. If you're going to have surgery you may want to augment your bridge at the same time so you don't have to repeat injections to the bridge. This will depend on what was injected and when that was done. Consult with an experienced rhinoplasty specialist to discuss your alternatives.

Raising your tip projection by 5 mm is a significant amount and depending on the structure of your nose and thickness of your skin will likely require cartilage grafting of your columella (col. strut) and a tip graft to provide support.  This cartilage most frequently comes from the septum but if thin or weak ear cartilage is a frequent second choice.Meet with a couple of Bd Certified nose specialists to discuss your options and to see photos of other patients.
