Are 6 Pack Abs Achievable After Having a Tummy Tuck?

Question

After losing over 100 lbs, at 23 I am debating having a tummy tuck to remove all excess skin. I'm in great physical shape with 10% body fat, is it possible for me to still achieve abs or six pack abs after a tummy tuck?

If you excercise your abdominal musles after you have healed completely from your tummy tuck, it is possible to see and feel muscle definition. This will depend on the abdominal wall fat being thin enough so the muscles show through. As long as you continue to maintain your weight and exercise regularly, your hard work can show through once the skin is removed.

Achieving a six pack after major weight loss is possible but may require more than one operation depending on the thickeness of the skin and  the pattern of skin laxity.

You can achieve a significantly flattened abdomen from abdominoplasty.  A "6 pack" abdomen is rarely created from abdominoplasty.  After you have healed and have been cleared for regular activity you can achieve more definition by conventional methods such as sit-ups/crunches.
