Will a brow lift and or Botox help me to achieve more symmetry in my face?

Question

Looking for some advice / guidance on what the best treatment would be for me to help improve my facial imbalance. Whilst I appreciate no ones face is completely symmetrical what bothers me most is the fact that one brow is so much higher than the other. I'm not sure if this is caused by a subtle lazy eye or something else but am looking for some feedback on any treatments that could help improve this issue and help to give an overall more symmetrical feminine look. Your left eyebrow is higher than the right side and has a more pronounced arch. Botox would lower the left side if you gave it to the forehead above the arch but could also cause an eyelid ptosis and even impact on vision and cause more problems. A brow lift on the right side would aid symmetry without causing significant problems. This could be done under local anaesthetic with you awake and reasonable symmetry could be achieved by the end of the operation.
Do consult a fully trained and accredited Plastic Surgeon.

To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling. The temporal brow lift is similar to the hairline forehead lift except that the procedure is directed more at the lateral brow.  The lateral brow falls more significantly than the central brow, probably because of loss of facial volume in the temples.  The temporal brow lift uses a zig-zag incision either in the hairline of the temple area or slightly above it to camouflage any scarring even further if possible. Hello, thank you for your question. You can improve your eyebrows with Botox, the effects of Botox wear off after 3-4 months, this is short term solution, if you want a long term solution you can consider surgery.

Thank you for sharing the photos You are absolutely right that no faces are symmetrical, this is in fact considered unappealing. Apart from the noticeable brow asymmetry, you do also have some degree of upper lid ptosis on the same side. I would suggest considering a unilateral brow lift as this is likely to address the lid lag to some extent as well. Botox is temporary and will certainly not give you the adequate improvement you may like yo haev.

Hello and thank you for your question. Botox could possibly aid in evening out the dissymmetry in your brows, though it will not change the dissymmetry in the inner canthus of your eye.  You would also have to be assessed in person to see your animation of the brows. A surgical lateral browlift may be a better fix for you however. I would meet with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss which options would be best for you!
