I want to reduce the size of my thighs and I'm thinking to go with liposuction because I want to avoid the scarring. My question is, how long of a recovery time am I looking at if I want to do outer thigh (saddle bags) a bit of inner thigh (just for contouring) and knees? I'm not looking to have a lot removed because I'd hate the extra skin not bouncing back. How long before I can run or just even be able to wear shorts and not have bruising showing?

Answer: Thigh liposuction most thigh liposuction patients will need 1-2 weeks to recover in my experience. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.

Answer: Liposuction Recovery Thank you for your question, recovery time is highly dependent on the patient and the extent of the surgery. It is generally recommended to take between 3-7 days off after the surgery, depending on how many areas were worked on, and your pain tolerance. You will need to wear a compression garment for about 6-8 weeks to help reduce the amount of swelling and it can take about 6 months for all of the swelling to resolve before you see your final cosmetic result.
