Will lip fillers help my overbite? (photos)

Question

i have a terrible terrible overbite, my top lip sticks out alot and very noticably alot everyday it gets pointed out all the time and my biggest insecurity. i do not have money for surgery which is heartbreaking but i have been considering juvederm or any other type of lip fillers in my bottom lip to even it out. i want to know if this would look right or if my top lip is too drastically far out if i got fillers to make it even my bottom lip would look ridiculously too big. please i need help

Your lower lip is recessed behind your upper lip because your chin is recessed, too. You can improve your profile with a chin and lip augmentation performed nonsurgically with fillers, such as Volbella or Juvederm for the lip and Voluma for the chin. If that’s too much for your budget, then yes, just go ahead with the hyaluronic-acid-based dermal filler augmentation in your lower lip. See if that makes you feel more confident, or, if not, move on to a chin augmentation, too. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will help you feel better about your profile.

alari3. While lip fillers will not correct your overbite, they will plump the lips and perhaps make the overbite less noticeable. It appears from your photograph that you may also benefit from chin implant. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for a thorough evaluation. Good luck.

Thank you for your question.  Fillers will not rectify your overbite however you could use fillers to add some volume into your bottom lip to help give the appearance it is fuller.  Lip Filler is a temporary solution and last about 3-6 months.  This is also reservable and can be dissolved by hyaluronidase.  All The Best

Fillers won't improve your overbite, but they can improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. Results can be very natural-looking and will feel very natural. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns.
