Ptosis revision - is it safe to the do the same surgery again?

I had ptosis surgery in January of 2018. The good results lasted 6 mos. but took almost 2 years to go back to where it was before the surgery. I was diagnosed with severe ptosis. The surgeon wanted to try surgery with incision over the eyelid first. If that didn't work, he wanted to do the frontalis sling surgery. After doing some research, I did not want to do it. Is it safe to do same surgery again or can I use Apneeq eye drops?
