During a double eyelid surgery, the doctor started on my right eye and sat me up while open eyelid, to check crease height. I couldn't open my eye, and the doctor said he used too much local anesthesia so he started on the other eye to give my right eye some time. He used half the amount on my left eye and it functioned perfectly. I was slowly able to open my right eye again but the doctor said I had ptosis. I never been diagnosed with ptosis seeing two oculoplastic surgeons prior.
