I see no reason why you can't swim a week after chalazion excision. That said, it is always best for you to check with your doctor to get his/her opinion.

I would ask your surgeon if it is ok to go swimming. 1 week may be a little early after surgery, but again, I would defer to your surgeon.

I would discuss this with your surgeon to be sure but we usually allow our patients to return to their normal physical activity by 1 week after a chalazion excision has been performed. If an incision was placed on the front of your eyelid, I would be careful with tanning as sun exposure may lead to a hyperpigmented scar.
