It's hard to tell with these photos, but you appear to have excess skin on your abdomen. If you have excess skin, a tummy tuck with muscle plication is your best option. This procedure will tighten the muscles and remove the excess skin, providing a smoother and more toned appearance. Additionally, you could combine this with liposuction of the flanks to get optimal results and enhance your overall contour.

Liposuction alone could potentially lead to more excess skin, especially if there is already significant skin laxity. Therefore, a tummy tuck might be the most effective solution for achieving the results you desire.

Thank you for your question. Your upper abdominal skin is loose. Therefore, you have a sad belly button appearance and horizontal lines slightly above the belly button. You cannot solve this situation by removing fat. On the contrary, it increases even more as you get fat. While removing the fat, a skin tightening treatment such as Renuvion J plasma or Bodytite should have been added. Thus, the extra looseness caused by loose skin due to fat removal could have been prevented.

You may benefit from skin removal to tighten the abdomen. This is part of the tummy tuck procedure. The other benefit of a tummy tuck is that it will tighten the rectus diastasis muscle to make the stomach flatter.

It is possible your surgeon did not want to remove too much fat as he he knew the fat extraction was creating more loose skin. But that is just a wild guess! I typically remove 1000-3000cc from the abdomen. On occasion I have removed 5L (5000cc) from just the abdomen, but that is really extraordinary. On the other hand, when a patient has loose skin on the abdomen, the patient is always advised to have a TT instead of lipo to the abdomen.

This is a good question. After liposuction, there appears to be extra skin that is causing the sad looking tummy. Based on the pictures given, it seems like you may be a good candidate for a tummy tuck, however an in person evaluation would be needed to determine which kind is the best for you. Hope this helps!

Additionally, those who have undergone weight loss or fat reduction typically have a degree of excess skin on their abdomen. As we age our ability to have our skin "snap back" decreases. One of the most effective ways to remove excess skin and tighten your abdomen is abdominoplasty. This is a surgical procedure designed to address the changes that occur in the abdominal region post-pregnancy or weight loss. It involves the removal of excess skin and fat and the tightening of the abdominal muscles. The result is a flatter, firmer, and more contoured abdomen. Abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, does involve a long scar across the lower part of your abdomen so you would have to decide for yourself if that scar is worth it for you.

The issue is excess skin so by removing the excess skin you can have a tight abdomen. However, you need to consider the scar associated with a tummy tuck.

Liposuction only removes fat and does not remove excess skin. Your skin is hanging and you will need a tummy tuck. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.
