I got my breast augmentation on 10/05/2017. I feel top heavy w/ crazy neck & back pain. I felt rushed into this decision, not by my doctor, but my low self esteem after breast feeding 3 children I was left w/ 2 saggy breasts. I do not care about how saggy they will be afterwards, I will deal with them & accept my natural body. I've seen a huge debate on whether to leave the capsule in or not. I never had any issues w/ my implants. I would just like to know what is the safest way to remove them?

Answer: Breast implant removal Typically if you are having issues with your implants or the capsules, such as rupture of the implant or thickening of the capsules it is recommended that the capsules are removed along with the implants. If you are not having any issues then it is an option to remove the implants alone, or to include the capsule removal as well. Your surgeon will help you in your decision after an examination.

Answer: Explant and Bellesoma Lift The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. The surgeon will determine at the time of surgery whether to leave the capsules or remove them based on infection or calcification. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
