I've decided my first step in improving my profile would have to be an enhanced jawline/malar via filler injections, i'm looking for a chiseled masculine aesthetic look and was wondering which of the two fillers would be best, and should having this done should require multiple consults with facial plastic surgeons or would the result be the same everywhere?
Answer: Enhancing the Jawline / Cheekbone Radiesse and Perlane or Voluma are very good at enahncing jawlines and giving contour and shape. This is because they hold shape very well and can give a "structured" appearance. What matters most however, is that you go to a very well trained physician with experience in masculine features and knows how to contour rather than line fill. Do not go to just anyone, get an expert and do not compromise your care for distance or cost. Cannula injections can help as well to build up the jaw and cheeks with little downtime. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Fillers for enhancing jawline There are a variety of different filler options such as Radiesse, Juvederm Ultra plus, Voluma, Perlane, or Sculptra. These products do have different properties and the finer points in your decision making process about which filler to use and why is a great topic for discussion with your cosmetic physician. I typically like to use either Radiesse or Voluma for deeper injections to sculpt and enhance the jawline or cheekbones. These products last longer than some others and are more viscous, producing a result that patients are very pleased with.

Answer: Radiesse or Juvederm for the jawline for a masculine look - Buffalo Niagara, NY Both of these products would be a good choice but we tend to steer towards Radiesse in our practice for the malar areas and jawline. Radiesse is more durable and the big question is whether you are going to like this new feature and the considerations include, among others, the 'half life' of the product - meaning how long it will last. Radiesse tends to last 40-50% longer than Juvederm and Juvederm typically lasts 8 months. Thank you for posting your question.

Answer: Radiess or Juvederm for jawline/cheekbone If you want to see how you would look with a filler enhanced jawline with only 6-8 months commitment, then try Juvederm®. IF you want a longer lasting results in that area, Radiess® would be a better choice. An expert board-certified Aesthetic Dermatologist can perform these injections in a single visit, and the results definitely differ among different injectors.
