The answer is yes. However IMHO simple silicone implants will not be sufficient. I would consult with a maxilofacial surgeon that may give you some ideas with regards to what can be done to reposition bones such a sliding genioplasty. Good luck.Dr PG

Yes, a chin implant could improve the shape of your chin and increase length. When well placed by an expert, a chin implant can last for decades or a lifetime. You can choose a chin with will give you a better projection and smooth the jawline. A consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon is important; for the patient to be evaluated, their goals discussed, and a custom treatment plan decided upon. It is possible to achieve such an effect as higher lower face. I would suggest starting with fillers to asses whether that is something that you really like. Once it is confirmed, selected jaw/chin implants may help; or chin surgery with bone grafting. Good luck.

Hello thanks for sharing your pictures. Implants are good for increasing projection of chin, in your case a vertical increase in height of mandible would be better addressed with genioplasty. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon for proper assessment and treatment options.

  Thank you so much for your question. Lengthening the lower 1/3 can be tried with silicone implants but the best way to do this would be with jaw surgery vs a genioplasty. These are the best ways to permanently lengthen the lower 1/3. I would definitely recommend getting an opinion from a facial cosmetic surgeon as well any oral and Maxillofacial surgeon that does orthognathic surgery as you may get different ways to approach your concerns from each!

The lower third of your face could be vertically lengthened by two different methods. A vertical lengthening bony genioplasty will improve the height of the chin. A custom jawline implant will lengthen the entire lower face from jaw angle to jaw angle including the chin.

 Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, silastic facial implants (cheek, chin, lips), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  Looking at the front photo, your face can be divide into equal vertical third segments....so lengthening the lower third isn't the issue or the solution. The face overall is an elongated oval shape.  This is a result of weak cheeks, excess fat in the lower face (and under the chin) as well as weak mandibular angles.   Following my beauty principles, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles.  The following procedures would create a more ruggedly handsome face.
Cheek augmentation with cheek implants to add angularity to the cheeks and mid face.  Liposuction can be combined to reduce any excess fat to further shape the cheeks and face. Augmentation of the mandibular angles using a dermal filler (jaw implants have too many unwanted side effects IMHO) to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.

The reduced lower face height can be improved with either jaw surgery/orthodontic combination; or a sliding genioplasty. The jawline is readily defined with augmentation along the entire jawline from inside the mouth. The treatments are quite basic. Consult a Maxillofacial surgeon for further info.
