Dysport and Botox injections can certainly result in smile asymmetry, and as such, require extreme care when being injected in the lower face. Luckily, the results are temporary, and should resolve over the next several weeks. Best wishes.
Yes, it can affect the lower lip and the corners of the mouth if the product migrates too much. It does not affect the upper lip and middle of the face if only the chin is injected. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
If dosed inappropriately or not injected correctly, Dysport can cause a lopsided smile. Please see a highly experienced certified injector to complete all your injections.
Thank you for the question and pictures. Dysport (or any neurotoxin) injected into the chin can cause an asymmetric smile. This is from the neurotoxin usually migrating to the muscle that pulls your lower lip down (the depressor angularis oris, or DAO). This effect should wear off before the usual 3-6 month time period because there is presumably less neurotoxin there than in the intended muscle. Good luck!
Thank you for your photos. It ispossible that Dysport injected in your chin can cause a lopsided smile. Alwaysmake sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
Thank you for your question and for submitting your photo. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing complications after your Dysport treatment. Any time Botox or Dysport is injected, there is a small risk of the medication drifting and affecting other muscle groups. In general, Dysport does spread a little more than Botox, and I generally do not recommend using it for treating the lower face, as injections here require very precise placement.Based on your photo, it appears that the Dysport injected into your chin drifted into the muscles that control your lower lip. Unfortunately there is no way to reverse the effects of Dysport after it has been injected. The results typically last 3-4 months, and you should start to notice gradual improvement in 6-8 weeks. I hope you feel better soon.
Thank you for the question. You are describing an unusual constellation of symptoms. It does not sound like it is likely due to the Dysport, but it is impossible to know. Good luck!
Lower eyebrows are a potential side effect of injections of botox/dysport/xeomin. Some patients are more prone to developing this, such as people with heavier tissues, lower set brows for which they compensate by raising their forehead. This is, just like the injections, temporary....
Thank you for the question and pictures. You have the effects of too much Dysport that was injected too low on your crow's feet. When you smile, your cheek raises. Getting treated with neurotoxin should not change this elevation of your cheek. The bunching of skin where...
