What causes bulbous noses? What procedure do I need to fix my bulbous nose? How bad would rate this imperfection?

Thank you for your question.  Having a bulbous tip (tip boss) is a fairly common issue I see in my practice.  I perform roughly 4-6 rhinoplasties per month and see this all the time.  The lower cartilage that defines the tip has splaying between the cartilages giving more of a squared appearance.  Without having any profile pictures, I cannot tell you how to rotate the nose.  You do not seem to have a lot to do with improvement to the nose.  Please make sure that you are consulting with a double board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon

Thank you for your pictures.  In your case, I would say that you are lacking tip definition more than anything.  It also looks as though you could improve the rotation of your tip just a hair, to give a little more shadow and what we call a "supra tip break".  There are a variety of reasons why people have bulbous noses - more commonly its either poorly defined cartilages, and sometimes it can be due to thick, sebaceous skin. But those are just two of the most common reasons.  A full in person eval is needed to be able to ascertain what is possible and doable, to be honest.  I hope some of this helps! Best of luck.

From your photos it appears that you are an excellent candidate for Rhinoplasty. The best plan can only be made after a complete in person physical exam. The closed technique would be applicable to you thus avoiding a columella scar. Be sure to seek an experienced  Board Certified PS with a specific experience in  Rhinoplasty, as well as a member of American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons

In my over the internet opinion you need full Rhinoplasty. Healing 3 months +/-. Best to seek only in person opinions.

Your wide poorly defined tip can be refined by changing the shape and size of the tip cartilages. Select an experienced rhinoplasty specialist so you achieve a natural result that is not over done.and looks surgical.
