Is my belly button botched?

Dr, the morning of surgery did his markings, & as in the pic it’s not a straight line. His explanation was I have spondylitis of my spine. Funny how he never mentioned any of that in the 3 pre-op appointments I had with him) I was startled as he continued his markings min away from my surgery. Not sure how a Dr can make a diagnosis as such without an x-ray! Ive never had back issues. Now my belly button is off centered & tiny. Why?? Botched or not?

Thank you for your picture.  Your Belly Button is slightly of centre however this definitely isn't a botch.  Please do wait for everything to settle and then the Belly Button can be revised.  This could even be performed under a local anaesthetic.  All the Best

Spines are frequently curvy, from the subtle to the full blown scoliosis. I typically don't mention this until I mark a patient either but do point it out to them in the mirror. There is nothing the surgeon can do about this anyway, it is your spine. Your BB is slightly off line and this can also come from needing a lot of muscle tightening, not just the spine issue. This can happen and it isn't indicating being "botched."
