Can rhino revision be done safely at 8 months?

Question

After my surgery my nose turned upto be extremely short and upturned tip. Not what I wanted at all. Can tip derotation and lengthening be done safely at 8-10 months? I know 1 year is the standard time to wait to let all swelling go down to see the final result but swelling is not my issue which is why I’m wondering can this be done safely before ?

The earliest we have offered revision rhinoplasty is six months postoperative. A surgeon can determine this based upon the residual swelling in your nose. Hello and thank you for your question. The timing for a revision is dependent on your individual anatomy and what the exact issues are. For a thick bulbous tip, it is best to wait one year or longer. For an over projected and over rotated tip, it can be done as soon as eight months depending on how your nose looks. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
