Yesterday I went to see a doctor for filler around my temples ,. He suggested Bellafill,. Upon injection he hit a vein on the side of my forehead and it bled. The vein became enlarged and. today it is bruised and tender,I called him and he said not to worry it will go away within two weeks. I am still very concerned about complications like blindness blood clots stroke, I am not sure what to do.
Answer: Bruising after Bellafill for temples--VBeam for improvement Bruising can be typical after hitting a vein with an injection. It can last 1-2 weeks. In the mean time, VBeam treatments can give improvement. Keep in mind, it can take several months for final results with Bellafill. You may need more than one treatment to get the final outcome as bellafill builds collagen over the long term. See an expert in facial sculpting for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Safely removing Bellafill from the face We are specialists in the removal of Artefill from the face and body. Inflammatory mediators can wreak havoc on permanent fillers, causing swelling and pain. Early removal is key. I would use SwellX to reduce swelling, if possible. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

Answer: Bruising following Bellafill Thank you for your question and submitting your pictures. Let me begin by reassuring you. Bruising is not uncommon in the area of the temples as there are a large number of vessels which are not visible. Any time a needle pierces the skin, there is the risk of hitting a small vessel resulting in a bruise. This is the most common complication of injections of any type. Any complications from injected product into a vessel are immediate so you should not be concerned about those risks. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Answer: Hitting a vein during temple injection - do I have to worry? The temple is very vascular and hitting a vessel is fairly common. I use cannulas in this area when treating superficially as he did and there is less bruising from that technique. The complications you are worried about such as blindness, stroke, and clotting/necrosis are problems which occur immediately during injection in most cases. Bruising is what you have right now and there is no need to worry about the other complications. Arnica, and vascular laser will help this improve faster.

Answer: Complications After a Filler Injection. Congratulations on your choice of filler. Bellafill is a filler that will stimulate you to make your own tissue so that you will not have to constantly come back for more injections like most of the other fillers. Please be assured that you do not have to worry about your concerns over blindness, stroke and blood clots. What happened in your case was that a blood vessel was injured by either the needle or cannula that was used to inject the Bellafill. This is a very common consequence of any injection as the face has an amazing number of blood vessels in it and missing them all while doing an injection is almost impossible. All that has happened for you is that you have a bruise and this will resolve in the next week or two. I have added a video about filler safety for you. I hope that helps. Best regards.
