Will Bellafill last forever in nose bridge? Or should surgery last longer?

I always perform non surgical nose "jobs" with Bellafil. This is a permanent filler and will not change on the nose. I have been performing this procedure for over 10 years with great results and have not seen the need to repeat it. Good luck

Hi and thank you for your question! As famously said by Axl Rose (and more recently Maroon 5), "nothing lasts forever" and this is true for cosmetic procedures too. The results of surgical nose job typically last much longer than fillers, but even those are not permanent as our face undergoes changes as we age. If you prefer to avoid surgery and if you are a candidate of non-surgical nose job with filler injection, Bellafill is an excellent choice given that it outlasts most other fillers. Localized defects and depressions of the nose are ideally suited for correction with an injectable filler.It is not intended to replace a primary rhinoplasty rather to correct minor irregularities and deformities.
Suneva the distributor of Bellafill shows results lasting up to five years.  PMMA microspheres compose twenty percent and collagen eighty percent of Bellafill.  The microshperes do not reabsorb or decompose; the amount of collagen produced surrounding the PMMA changes with time and age.
Results vary from patient to patient.  Several injections sessions are typically required to produce the desired end result. Bellafill is only FDA approved for injection in the naso-labial folds and acne. Other applications are considered off label use.
Most patients elect to have a less permanent filler injected for the first time to see what can be done. Afterwards they often choose Bellafill to give longer lasting results.

If on exam your physician determines that you are a candidate for liquid nose job and you can get benefit from that ... I would definitely go with Bellafill ... unless you are not a candidate, which is totally a different scenario

Bellafill is the only FDA approved permanent filler. This statement needs to be qualified because Bellafill is actually a hybrid product. It is 80% bovine collagen and 20% PMMA. The PMMA is the permanent component of the product. Bellafill may be used off label as a nasal divot filler. Because the majority of the product is composed of bovine collagen, several treatment sessions are needed to achieve permanent volume restoration.

Bellafill is an excellent filler for the nose, especially when small corrections for uneven areas or depressions are need.  Be very careful as to who you see however as the nose is very vascular and there is a higher incidence of injecting Bellafill into a blood vessel and causing a catastrophic complication in this area.  While we do not know exactly how long Bellafill will last, the 5 year study data shows there is no volume drop off after the 10 years.  I have seen it working well in the nose at 8 years.  If your problem is amenable to a filler then Bellafill is an excellent choice.I have added a video of a patient who had Bellafill injected in her nose to correct an old rhinoplasty deformity.I hope that helps.Best regards.
